Maternal health refers to the health of women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. We pride ourselves in providing the most healthy and personalized approach towards obsetrics and perinatal care.

Obstetrics

Our philosophy is simple: We care and respect your personal wishes and preferences.

Perinatal Care

It is our goal as specialists to care for normal pregnancies as well as those who are high-risk. Dr. Somers monitors and evaluates women throughout their pregnancies and delivers them at St. Baranabas Medical Center (a Tertiary Care Center).

You are given intrapartum care in a safe, comfortable environment. We are one of the few obstetrician/gynecologists that allows VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarian).

The Birthing Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center

The birth of a baby is one of life's precious moments. At Saint Barnabas, Dr. Somers is committed to providing you and your family with a special experience in a nurturing and comfortable environment. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Barnabas offers modern facilities, state-of-the-art technology and a highly skilled physician and nursing staff assisting Dr. Somers.
